Paul R. from St Paul sent up a few more photos from his group’s trip in mid Sept. at Metionga Lake.

The “Boys in Blue” certainly managed a few nice fish.

Paul wrote: “More pics, what a great trip.“

Of course he also added the big ones were put back. Only small ones were kept to eat. more.

Fall Northern

Fall northern fishing can be some of the best fishing anywhere. Of course we don’t guarantee fish like this to everyone, but I will guarantee fish like this are in all the lakes. A little skill and a little luck make all the difference, but the biggest factor is that you must be on the lake. Like the old adage, more.

“Bigger than my brother!”

Posted by on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 8:25 am

Lane Krenzen returned from a fly in trip with a huge smile bragging of a fish “Bigger than my brother!” An inch or two more and it would have been bigger than Lane too.

The northern was 42 inches long and put up quite a battle. Maybe next time he will hold it himself. The rule around here is more.

Mystery Fish at Irene Lake

Here is the picture I promised you of the fish in front of the cabin. Dean

Dean Setser had an amazing trip to Irene Lake the last week of June. He says he caught the fish of a lifetime. Dean described his fish to me and of course I didn’t believe him. I told him I needed more.

With summer approaching and fishing season only days away, I want to give a few pointers on photographing and live releasing your trophy fish at Ignace Outposts. Of course, we encourage you to enjoy the bounty of our lakes by having fresh fish for lunch or dinner while on the more.

Monster Northern

Posted by on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 10:21 am

Over the last few years, I have received many emails regarding this monster northern.

All kinds of places have been claiming this fish from Saskatchewan, Lake of the Woods, Wisc. and Manitoba. It is no doubt it is a big fish. I would love to claim it for Seseganaga, Flindt, Hilltop or Metionga Lakes. I am sure more.
