Catching walleye in our lakes is never difficult.  In fact on opening weekend, it amazes me that a camp could be vacant.  In any case, setting up a camp after the opening of walleye sometimes offers the opportunity to research our product and develop new techniques.  It also seems to produce more folks who like to help with the chores. more.

Our cabin is on level ground with cement walkways. It is more.

Between archery and gun season

Posted by on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 7:50 am

Spike bull I called out for a photo op. My only weapon, a camera.

We are right between archery moose and gun moose seasons. Our camps are empty for a day or two. Our archer moose hunters managed 2 moose taken (one on Seseganaga and one on Hilltop) and between the 2 groups they saw 20 moose more.

Fall northern fishing can be some of the best fishing anywhere. Of course we don’t guarantee fish like this to everyone, but I will guarantee fish like this are in all the lakes. A little skill and a little luck make all the difference, but the biggest factor is that you must be on the lake. Like the old adage, more.

Fall is in the air

I wish it was me going moose hunting on Hilltop Lake this fall. Our fishermen last week took this picture of a 50 incher browsing near the outlet of the lake. I’m sure when called, he’ll come running, perhaps with a bouquet of flowers behind his back. Only weeks now until archery season opens. more.
