Many year ago, in the late 80’s we began a program of “Catch and Consume” in regard to our fisheries.  Our goal then was to preserve the fisheries under our stewardship for generations to come.  We were one of the first outfitters to implement such a program of only killing fish we would eat and returning all trophies to the ...read more.

If you look closely on the rock, there is a Native rock painting (pictograph) of what appears to be a moose.  This site near our cabin on Metionga Lake indicates there where folks plying these waters many, many years before us.   I wonder what the fishing was like then. The Wood party came to Seseganaga Lake in June on a first time fly in trip all the way from Florida.

The group experienced some of our best weather and best fishing.  No doubt they’ll be back again.

“Hey Brad,

Dar Mor and his crew from Wisc make the trek every year to Metionga Lake . It is nice to see is a new generation of fishermen being developed. The memories these kids will have fishing with their buddies and their dads will be forever engrained in their minds. Besides, what better way to gather wedding speech material than to spend time ...read more.
