Hot to cold

On Saturday records fell across NW Ontario as we saw temperatures in the 30 + C range (high 80’s F) and yesterday morning we had snow flurries with overnight temps below freezing.

Those who have followed our adventures here in Ignace for a while, know that we get rather excited when the ice goes out in the spring. July? We are happy it’s over!

We’ve been fighting the weather this whole summer. July really wasn’t much of a summer month. I don’t think we even hit temperatures that came close to seasonal. Has summer finally arrived?

Yesterday evening we noticed it was actually warmer outside than inside our house. The forecast for this coming week looks good for being outside and of course that is where the fish are.
