One of the most common questions we are asked in January is “Do you really live there in the winter?” Yes we do!
We have chosen this life style and we really do enjoy 4 seasons. Admittedly we also like to absorb a little vitamin D during the winter when we can, but home is here in Ignace. Our daylight is sometimes short but we are already on the upswing in that department. It can be a little chilly at times but we can dress for that. To avoid getting cabin fever, so to speak, we will actually get out of the house even at -30 C like this morning. A side note, we don’t measure temperatures in this area with the subjective “Feels Like” temperature we hear reported on the weather networks . Rather than sending out the rookie weather man outside to tell us what it “feels like”, we just look at the thermometer .
This morning, before getting into the office, I went for a little walk. No big deal, just a touch frosty.
