Black Beauty

A long time guest sent this note.  “I bought this pole and reel combination the first year I started fishing in Canada. It’s about 45 years old. The reel has been rebuilt 3 times and the pole once. Old Seseganaga Shoreline

Beaver on wheels

It is not often that our aircraft get to be on wheels.  In 1993 when we had our Beaver painted, it was flown on wheels from Ignace to Cambridge Minnesota by Randy and Brad.  It was painted the yellow we recognize it today and then flown back to be put back on floats.  I think the aircraft is more comfortable ...read more.

Doing the “little” things

The Old Doc’ Buggy

In the mid 60’s Ignace Airways purchased a new 1965 Ford Econoline pickup truck.  Soon after it was aquired, it had a closeup encounter with a moose on the highway.  Rather than scrap a still good vehicle that happend to have some front end damage, the truck cab was cut off and the interior was removed.  The truck was now ...read more.
