Dehavilland named its aircraft wisely after animals. The DHC-3 is known as the Otter. Our Otter aircraft is devoted to putting fishermen and fish together. Flying in to some of Ontario’s best fishing is what this aircraft was designed to do.

Opening week

After I released my umpteenth (that’s a big number I made up) walleye and Dave lost his umpteenth jig to another “steam dog” (a term of endearment for a northern pike which takes your lure and runs), Dave took time out to pout.

Finally!

Until Thursday last week Karen and I had not had a chance to go fishing.  It is hard to believe that running one of the finest fly in fishing businesses in Canada, we don’t get much chance to enjoy the resources ourselves.  This summer has been a little more work for us with less staff to counteract world economic factors.
