Lakes & Cabins

Metionga Lake

This lake is a favourite of many groups for many years. Three cabins at the base of the rapids provide you with excellent access to Walleye and Northern fishing. Fine limits can be caught right off the dock.

This is the recommended lake for those who are wishing to try their first remote fly out and for those who don’t get bored catching fish. A couple of hundred walleye per day is not uncommon here. This lake can honestly be called “a walleye factory”.

There are three other lakes to fish with boats, motors and gas cached on two lakes for your use. Little Metionga Lake (itself over 6 miles long) is a popular portage lake. Walleye and Northern are in abundance.

Groups of up to 20 can be accommodated in three cabins (10 man, 6 man, 4 man).

We have a caretaker at camp to ensure all is in order.

Fish Species: Walleye, and Northern.
Lake Info: This lake covers 10000 acres of land and it has 4 Portage Lakes. On this lake we own 3 cabins. There is also 1 other cabin.
Location: This lake is located approx. 60 miles from the base and is approx. a 40 min. plane ride.
Group Size: This lake has cabins to accommodate groups from 2 up to 22 people.
Cabin 1 is nearest the falls and has 2 bedrooms as well as a large deck on two sides of the cabin.
Cabin 3 is a set apart from the others and has 3 bedrooms with 10 beds.  Larger groups can be comfortable and are not in sight of the other cabins.
Cabin 2 is a nice one bedroom cabin which will hold 4 max but is perfect for a couple or a small family.  The deck is over the water and walleyes are often caught right off the dock.  This cabin shares the screened fish cleaning house with cabin 1.
