Winter delight

Even tho’ we are looking forward to summer, there is no reason we can’t enjoy a little of the bounty of our lakes in the winter. It is often cold in our part of the woods during the winter, but as spring approaches we have both nice weather and great conditions for ice fishing.

April Fools

April 1st is well known as April Fools Day.  It does sometime happen that the joke is really upon us with the weather. 

Al Gore better get back to his data to re-evaluate this global warming thing.  On days like this I kinda wish we could have more of it.

Norseman – from Ignace to Calgary

While in Calgary last week, I stopped by the Petro Canada Tower.  This is the tallest building in Calgary and the head offices of Petro Canada.  Hanging in the lobby is a Norseman aircraft.  In it self this is impressive but there is an Ignace Airways connection.  This aircraft was operated by Ignace Airways in the late 70’s and early ...read more.

Calgary Sport Show

I just returned from Calgary Alberta – home of the world’s largest rodeo.  We did a sport show there last week.  It is amazing, but even tho’ we live in Ontario, it takes less time to drive to Calgary than  it does to Toronto.
