Large moose

A moose hunter guest in Thunder Bay sent me this photo.  It was  taken along the CP rail line in the area last fall.  The rails are 56 1/2 inches apart so this moose has a rack that would make any hunter proud.

We’ve seen moose this large at many of our outpost lakes too.  During the more.

OK, I am not drawing a picture of a moose. I like to add a photo or two to each blog but all I have is a story about why I have no photo (or video).

We had archery moose hunters in Hilltop lake last week. They managed to call out a 50 inch plus bull. The bull approached boldly more.

Moose and calves

A cow moose and her two babies meandered down the Gamble River a couple of days ago. The Coppin Group at Irene Lake grabbed this photo of the moose. Cow moose often have twin calves. Scott Coppin stayed back about 100 yards so as to not frighten the moose as he took the photos. The cow and calves continued more.
